About

Aaliyah was born in Daly City, California and raised in Tacoma, Washington after her Inay immigrated to the United States from the Philippines. She is a proud Filipina American and an alumni from Gonzaga University, where she studied Communication Studies and Public Relations. Her work throughout college has centered on mentorship, cultural awareness, wellness, and building intentional spaces for community.

In Spokane, Aaliyah’s love for photography, video editing, spoken word, design, and event coordination had flourished. She’s performed twice and hosted the award-winning Diversity Monologues at Gonzaga University, had written work published on SpokaneFāVS, and served in leadership roles for programs like FASU’s BARRIO and UMEC’s Pre-Orientation BRIDGE Program. Her roles across campus and the broader community—ranged from being a Program Operations Intern at Degrees of Change to being a Community Outreach Intern for Gonzaga’s Communication Department—all in which have reflected one truth: storytelling is a powerful tool for connection, restoration, and change.

Through creAAte’s four pillars — Visual Media Storytelling, Photography, Marketing & Outreach, and Rooted Surrender — Aaliyah blends technical craft with soulful intention.

Each project is an offering of presence: whether behind the lens, guiding a brand's voice, or curating spaces for deep-rooted clarity and reconnection. As a photographer, her goal is for clients to feel seen, celebrated, and beautiful in their own skin. Her sessions center comfort, authenticity, and joy — capturing the quiet power of people simply being themselves. .

creAAte LLC began as a lens—literally. What started with photography grew into something deeper: a space for storytelling, strategy, and community-rooted care. Founded by Aaliyah Mae Maniego Lewis, creAAte exists to help people and projects show up as they truly are—bold, beautiful, and grounded in purpose.

At its core, creAAte is about more than content. It’s about connection.

Rooted Surrender, the newest pillar, holds space for creative and faith-led offerings that encourage an intentional pause and sacred return to the love we were created from

Aaliyah’s work is deeply rooted in faith. Guided by Ecclesiastes 3:1–11, she believes there is a time and season for everything under heaven—a time to plant, a time to uproot, a time to build, and a time to heal. creAAte was born from that very rhythm: a recognition that each moment, each story, and each soul carries purpose. Her creative practice is an extension of that belief—trusting in divine timing, holding space for both growth and stillness, and finding beauty in the unfolding. Whether it’s behind the lens or behind the scenes, Aaliyah moves with intention, reverence, and the quiet knowing that every season serves.

Whether you’re building a brand, launching a project, or honoring a moment in time, creAAte is here to support the process—visually, strategically, and soulfully.
